Register with the practice
We are using a new online service called Register with a GP surgery that makes it easy to register with this GP surgery.
Just fill in this quick online form to start the process. You do not need proof of address or immigration status, ID or an NHS number.
The service is designed and run by the NHS, so your personal information is safe. It cuts our administrative workload and makes it easier for you to register.
Paper forms are still available if you need one.
Important Information About Certain Medications
If you are taking any of the following medications—Diazepam, Temazepam, Lorazepam, Nitrazepam, Zopiclone, Zolpidem, Pregabalin, Gabapentin, or opiates such as Morphine, Codeine, Tramadol, Oxycodone, Fentanyl and Buprenorphine—please let us know when completing your registration form.
As part of our practice policy, we support patients in gradually reducing their use of these medications. This process is carefully managed, with a tailored withdrawal plan designed to ensure your safety and well-being.
If you feel that this approach is not right for you at this time, we kindly ask that you consider whether our practice is the best fit for your needs before proceeding with registration. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak with us
Temporary registration
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. If you need treatment for more than 14 days, you will need to register with the GP surgery on a temporary or permanent patient.
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.
To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
Many patients find they need to see an emergency doctor when away from home for medications – in these cases it is always worthwhile contacting your own GP practice first as electronic prescribing services (EPS) allows you to nominate a pharmacy of choice anywhere in England.
Further information about registering for emergency or temporary care can be found on the NHS website.
